“Almost 60 percent of voters wanted me to be mayor.”

The most generous estimate rounds up the ballots cast in her general election to 56 percent.

Did 60 percent of registered voters in 2017 want Durkan? Absolutely not. In the 2017 primary, that number was only 11 percent, and in the general election only 27 percent of Seattle voters cast their ballots for Jenny Durkan.
